What is included for NOK 499?
The boating course includes 29 lessons across four subjects, 538 questions including lesson checks, mock exams and interactive chart and navigation practice. Norwegian and English are included in the same purchase.
Access starts when payment is confirmed and lasts 183 days. Pay once by card or Vipps; there is no automatic renewal. Your progress is saved to your account so you can continue on a phone, tablet or computer.
Course fees and official exam costs are separate
The course price covers preparation with Kurskompis. It does not include registration, the official exam or licence issuance. Arrange the boating exam separately with an approved test centre.
Check current official fees with the Norwegian Maritime Authority/Båtførerregisteret and ask whether your test centre charges a separate fee. Compare the course, official exam and any local charges before booking.
When does the VHF/SRC bundle make sense?
Both courses together cost NOK 699. Buying them separately costs 499 + 299 = NOK 798, so the bundle saves NOK 99. Each course has its own lessons and mock exams.
The VHF/SRC course includes 10 lessons and 210 questions. A boating licence and a radio operator certificate serve different purposes. Choose the bundle if you need to prepare for both.
Try the format and read the terms
Try 12 free boating questions with explanations without registering. This is a small sample, not a full mock exam or a prediction of your official result.
You keep your 14-day right of withdrawal even after starting the course. After a documented official exam failure, you may apply for one free 90-day extension. Complete all lessons and three full mock exams before the official attempt, and apply within 30 days. Read the full purchase terms before buying.
