Which CPC route do you need?

Choose an overview of the requirements, preparation for your transport type, or renewal of existing competence.

Match your qualifications to the work

D or D1 determines which vehicle you may drive. Passenger Driver CPC concerns professional use when the requirement applies. The work may also require a passenger-transport driver's permit and other authorisations. Check the full requirement with your employer and the relevant authority.

Practise a complete passenger journey

Think through departure, stops, luggage, a passenger needing assistance and an unexpected interruption. Identify how checks and priorities change. Connect theory with calm, clear actions that protect passengers.

Core practice topics

  • Boarding, alighting, doors and observation around the bus.
  • Smooth driving, restraints and luggage.
  • Communication and handling challenging situations.
  • Schedules, drivers’ hours, breaks, rest periods and working conditions.

Choose the full test or the correct extension

The full passenger Driver CPC test has 50 questions, 120 minutes and requires at least 42 correct answers. Competence upgrading from goods to passenger transport follows a different route. Use practice materials with a clear understanding of which test you will take.

Kurskompis offers supplementary theory practice. It does not provide approved mandatory initial or periodic CPC training.

A dedicated passenger learning pathway

Choose passenger transport in the YSK course for YSKFP questions and mock exams. Topics include service, accessibility, passenger safety and the driver's working day. Shared subjects such as risk assessment, drivers’ hours, breaks and rest periods appear in both pathways.

What the theory course includes

706 unique subject questions, all with explanations, plus 36 lessons. Study in Norwegian or English on your phone or computer. Access costs NOK 599 for 6 months (183 days), with no automatic renewal.

  • A learning plan helps you choose your next topic.
  • Topic practice and situation exercises connect theory with decisions.
  • An error bank, spaced review and mock tests show what to revisit.
  • Progress is saved to your account and follows you across devices.

Choose the goods-transport or passenger-transport pathway. Some questions are shared; the total above counts each unique question once. Practice covers full CPC tests, not separate extension tests. It does not renew code 95 or replace approved initial or periodic training.

Frequently asked questions
