Changes to accepted identification
Bank cards, Norwegian Armed Forces ID cards and Norwegian seafarers’ discharge books will no longer be accepted at driver and vehicle licensing offices. This is shown as a future rule and does not change current answers before it takes effect.

Each available course has a ten-question sample. A1, A2 and A share the motorcycle course. Choose AM146 for a two-wheeled moped and AM147 for a moped car. C1, C, CE, D1, D and Driver CPC are separate course choices with different test formats. Explanations help you understand the reasoning behind each answer.
The free sample does not request card details or start a subscription. Purchasing full access is a separate choice. Full access provides the selected course’s learning content and mock exams for six months, without automatic renewal.
Use your result to decide what to study next
Read the explanation even when your answer is correct. Could you explain the choice, or did you recognise an option? Identify one topic to understand better, then use the category guide and learning material to review it.
Ten correct answers only reflect the questions you attempted. They do not guarantee a pass. Before the official test, practise varied questions across the relevant topics and explain your decisions.
Free sample, full mock exam and official test
The free sample is a short introduction. Full mock exams are included with paid access to the courses we offer. The official theory test is booked and taken with Statens vegvesen, with its own fee and category-specific age and training requirements.
C1/C1E and D1/D1E are combined learning courses, but their mock exams follow the C1 and D1 tests respectively. C1E, D1E and direct DE have no separate ordinary theory test. The DE content in the D course is study material for training and the practical test, not a DE theory-test simulation.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account for the free sample?
No. The ten free questions are available without signing in, purchasing or entering card details.
Are these official Statens vegvesen questions?
No. Kurskompis is independent and writes its own learning questions. We do not have access to the official test bank.
Can I practise in English?
Yes. The English sample links open the course in English. English learning content does not mean every official theory test is offered in English; check your category’s test-language options.
Is there a separate free sample for each motorcycle category?
A1, A2 and A share one motorcycle course and free sample. Separate guides explain each category’s age, vehicle and practical-training requirements.
